Monaghan, small full-length, standing, in Lord Lieutenant’s uniform oil on canvas 105 x 71.5 cm with identifying inscription Provenance: The Barons Rossmore, Rossmore Castle, Co. Monaghan, moved to Camla Vale, Co. Monaghan in the 1940s, thence by descent Warner William Westenra, 2nd Baron Rossmore (1765-1842) was the son of Henry Westenra (b.1742) and Harriet Murray. He married firstly Mary Ann Walsh and secondly Lady Augusta Charteris daughter of Francis Charteris, Lord Elcho. Lord Ross- more was Lord Lieutenant of Co.
