In this example it depicts the moment in the hunt, ‘bat-l’eau’ as it is referred to in French, when the animal tracked by a pack of hunting dogs throws itself into a body of water. The tapestries were completed in the 1530s and designed by Bernard Van Orley and woven by Willem Dermoyen. The set is now in the collection of the Louvre, Paris.
