96 112 AN IRISH GEORGE III SILVER COFFEE POT, * Dublin c.1770 (lacking date mark), makers mark of John Karr, of baluster form, the domed hinged lid with pineapple finial, with all-over repousse, chased and engraved decoration, one side depicting a man fishing, the other side with a cartouche engraved with shield, and further decorated with grazing cat- tle, birds, foliage and flowers, applied with c-scroll acanthus capped handle with ivory insulators, raised on circular foot, (c.33 troy ozs). 28cm high, 25.5cm wide over handle and spout € 3,000 - 5,000
