52 A LARGE DEHUA / BLANC DE CHINE MOLDED FIGURE OF GUANYIN BOJI YUREN 波及漁人 IMPRESSED MARK CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY The Goddess of Mercy is depicted seated in rajalalisana and holding a ruyi scepter. She wears loose robes as well as a necklace. A hair bun is topping her head. The back bears an impressed four-character mark of square shape: ‘ 波及漁 人 ’. H: 34,3 cm Notes: 1. The impressed seal mark ‘Boji Yuren’ can be read as ‘Virtue extends to all, including fishermen’, four figures bearing the Boji Yuren seal mark, illustrated by J.Ayers in Blanc de Chine: Divine Images in Porcelain, pp.117-120, pls.68-71. 2.
