It is all covered with a flawless glaze of white ivory tone, at the exception of the ring foot and the base. The base is inscribed in underglaze cobalt blue with a six-character mark of Emperor Tongzhi in kaishu within a double circle. H: 3,5 cm - D: 18,5 cm € 1,500 - 3,000 167 A GUAN OR GEYAO CRACKLED WARE TYPE EGG-SHAPED VASE CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY TO REPUBLIC / MINGUO PERIOD Thickly potted, resting on a ring foot left, with a globular body, a waisted neck and an everted rim. The base is left unglazed whilst the body all covered with a thick light celadon crackle glaze of guan or geyao type. The base is inscribed with ‘1’. All cov- ered with a thick crackled glaze of celadon tone.
