These five blessings refer to longevity ( 寿 ), wealth ( 富 ), health and composure ( 康宁) , virtue ( 修好德) , and the desire to die a natural death in old age ( 考 终命) . The butterfly is a symbol of long life because the second character in butterfly (hudie - 蝴蝶 ) has exactly the same pronunciation as the character 耋 (die) which means ‘70 or 80 years of age’. € 600 - 800 35 A RETICULATED RED AND GREEN JADEITE JADE ‘BATS, POMEGRANATE AND LINGZHI’ PLAQUE / PENDANT CHINA, 20TH CENTURY Mounted with a 14K gold hanging ring marked with:’585’ and ‘14K’.
