(2) € 150 - 250 185 JFK Memorial card for John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th President of the United States, born May 29th 1917, inaugurated January 20, 1961, died November 22, 1963, black border with portrait, with two prayers on verso including one of St.Ambrose: “ We have loved him during life, let / us not abandon him, until we have / conducted him by our prayers into the / house of the Lord.” € 150 - 250 186 MACLIAMMOIR, MICHEÁL Typed Letter Signed, to Alphonsus Sweeney,Ard Sonas, 76 Upper George’s St., Dun Laoire, discussing his drawings, used to illustrate two of Seamus O’Kelly’s books, one page quarto, dated March 1st. 1968, onThe Dublin GateTheatre Productions headed paper. In this letter, Micheal MacLiammoir agrees to become patron of the‘Seamus O’Kelly Society’ which had recently been formed by his nephew: “ Yes of course,I will be charmed to become a patron of your Society ... ”. MacLiammoir illustrated O’Kelly’s ‘ TheWaysiders ’, and points out that it was of: “ ...the interior of a country shop,was too obviously influenced by the JackYeats middle period ”. He concludes by giving his permission to include his illus- tration in the second edition, and was wondering: “ how good or bad I was fifty years ago” € 150 - 250 187 Ó CASEY, SEAN Autograph letter signed from Sean O’Casey dated 6 March, 1962 on Flat 3, 40 Trumlands Road, St. Marychurch,Torquay, headed paper, one page, large octavo written on one side only. In this letter O’Casey discusses comments made about Ireland by a Harvard Profes- sor: “ Enclosed articles sent to me by a young Mississipi girl, is,I think a rather remarkable com- ment on Ireland as she stands ...I thought it might be worth re-printing ...how an American Professor is keeping an eye on us ... ” In fine condition € 300 - 400
