She began modelling in 2010, building an international profile through collaborations with houses such as Louis Vuitton and Victoria’s Secret, as well as working with designers including John Rocha and Simone Rocha. Closer to home, she has worked with Brown Thomas and Louise Kennedy, among others. Her work spans magazine covers, international campaigns, and runway shows across major fashion weeks. In 2016, she appeared in the first season of Dancing with the Stars,marking a broader move into entertainment. She made her film debut in Vita & Virginia (2018), directed by Chanya Button. More recently, Heffernan has expanded her acting work. In 2025, she appeared in Power Ballad, directed by John Carney, alongside Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd. She has also completed filming on Execution in E, a Hallmark Channel production directed by Ali Liebert, part of the Haunted Harmony series. Alongside her work in fashion and film, Heffernan is actively involved in charity. She works with the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) as a charity ambassador, with a particular focus on dogs and rescue initiatives.
