85 116 A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING | VAN CLEEF & ARPELS | CIRCA 1985 The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 8.50cts within a double four-claw setting, to a pear-shaped dia- mond surround, mounted in 18K gold, diamonds approximately 5.00cts total, signed VCA, numbered, with maker’s mark ‘StéE’ for Successeurs d’Ehret, French assay mark, with maker’s case, ring size L € 15,000 - 20,000 Successor to Robert Ehret in 1969 and located 49 rue Saint Roch in the 1st district of Paris. This workshop is well known to have worked for Van Cleef & Arpels, Sterlé, M. Gérard or Boivin amongst others. Please note that the sapphire was verbally tested at GCS laboratory in October 2023 and was found to be natural, with some indications of heat treatment.
