The Le Temps Voyageur has the rounded case and curved bezel, made of stainless steel, which the Arceau line is known for, as well as the standard asymmetrical stirrup shape of the lugs which are soldered to the middle of the case. The names of 24 cities appear on the be- zel of the ring which is satin finished. The mechanical self-winding watch is a mas- terful joining of expert horology and beautiful design. The Arceau line by Hermès began in 1978 by Henri d'Origny and remains daring and bold with the luxury brand continuing to release new designs within the line to this day. The Le Temps Voyageur is a perfect example of this exciting renewal within watch design. The depiction of a map was created by Jérôme Colliard, a French graphic designer, for the 2016 equestrian “Saut Hermès Show Jumping Competition" in Paris and shows not a map of the earth but of a fantasy land which pulls inspiration from antiquity. The land and earth contrast in deep, beautiful blues while the de- sign of the numbers on the dials are fanciful and lend to the fantastical motif of the design.
