Report number 385687, dated November 9th 2021 246 A DIAMOND SINGLE-STONE RING WITH TWO DIAMOND HALF ETERNITY RINGS The central brilliant-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.00ct within a six-claw setting, to a surround of similarly-cut diamonds and shoulders, mounted in platinum, together with two half eternity rings pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamond, both mounted in platinum, ring sizes L € 2,500 - 3,500 ** Please note that these rings may be worn collectively or as individual pieces as shown 247 A DIAMOND LINE NECKLACE Composed of a continuous row of graduated brilliant-cut diamonds within claw-setting, mounted in 18K gold, diamonds approximately 12cts total, French assay mark, length 42.3cm € 8,000 - 9,000 248 A CULTURED PEARL AND DIAMOND DRESS RING The central round-shaped cultured pearl of grey tint measuring approximately 13.36mm, within a surround of collet-set bril- liant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18K gold, diamonds approximately 1.50ct total, French assay mark, maker’s mark, ring size L € 1,500 - 2,000 The origin of the Paraíba Tourmaline’s name is a combination of its gemstone family,Tourmaline, and the location of where the bright blue stone was first found, in Paraíba, Brazil.The stone was discovered in the early 1980’s by Heitor Dimas Barbosa, a small-scale miner working in the area.This rare gem consists of a high level of copper and manganese which gives it its distinctive vivid, electric blue-green hue.Within a short space of time, the market rapidly absorbed the modest supply of the ParaíbaTourmaline found in Brazil and captivated by the glowing, almost neon appearance of this magnificent stone, the search was on to find a greater supply further afield.More recent discoveries of similar- ly-coloured tourmalines have been found in Mozambique and are sourced from a limited amount of countries in EastAfrica, yet their origin is denoted by their title, as these stones are only termed ‘Paraíba-like’, as a reference to the original stone.The Brazilian ParaíbaTourmaline still creates a buzz on the market today as the most expensive and highly-sought after of all tourmalines, due to its striking colour and rarity.
