Exhibited: Dublin, Douglas Hyde Gallery, 1982; Limerick, Belltable Arts Centre, 1982 € 1,200 - 1,600 Maud Cotter was born in Co. Wexford in 1954 and studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and established an early reputation as a stained glass art- ist. She was co-founder and director of the National Sculpture Factory in Cork and was elected a member of Aosdána in 2000, the same year she won a Glen Dimplex Award. A visit to Iceland in 1991 renewed her inter- est in sculpture and in the use of materials such as cardboard, glass, steel and Per- spex. Cotter’s work has featured in group exhibitions and solo-projects in Europe and the U.S.A. since the early eighties. Maud Cotter lives and works in Cork.
