Despite not being formally trained as a painter, she was encouraged by her one-time neigh- bour in Thomastown, the painter Barrie Cooke and has since developed a significant reputa- tion in the medium. The environment and the impact of climate change on the landscape feature consistently in her work. Her paintings are to be found in many private collections and in the collections of The Arts Council, OPW and AIB. She is a member of the Royal Hiberni- an Academy and Aosdána.
