I was having extensive work done to my Donegal studio and John Belmore kindly put the Stewards House (Castlecoole) at my disposal. The view in my painting is from the drawingroom window and shows a little colonnaded arcade where in the past the land steward would have conducted his business with estate workers. As I became familiar with this room I realised I was, as it were, seeing three space-squences, the space outside the window, the space within the room itself, and a separate sealed- off space around the fish in its case.’ € 8,000 - 12,000
